John N. Sherrick holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Knox College and a master's degree in accounting from the University of Iowa. Beginning his public practice in 1971, John has been a partner in the firm since 1975. John is licensed to practice in both Iowa and Illinois and is a member of both the Iowa and Illinois Societies of Certified Public Accountants. John is active in a number of civic and professional organizations, having served as Chairman of the Bettendorf Chamber of Commerce in 1995 and as President of the Bettendorf Development Corporation in 1998. John serves as a discussion leader through Surgent McCoy CPE, LLC for tax continuing education courses for CPAs throughout the United States. John has presented seminars in all 50 states.
James K. Blake holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Mankato State University. After joining the firm in 1985, Jim became a partner in 1990. Jim is licensed to practice in Iowa and is a member of the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Jim has extensive experience providing consulting services on computerized accounting solutions.
