History

The firm of Sitrick & Associates was originally founded by Sheldon S. Sitrick in 1954. As members of the Private Companies Practice Section of the Division for Firms of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants, the firm is dedicated to the highest standards of quality and service. The firm has maintained its office in the Quad Cities in Bettendorf, Iowa, since 1968.

Organized in its present form in 1982, the firm presently consists of three partners: John N. Sherrick, CPA, MA, Glenn G. Blair, CPA, MST, and James K. Blake, CPA. Since 1982, the firm has represented clients whose operations have spanned at least 28 states and 16 foreign countries.

By reason of its membership in the Private Companies Practice Section, the firm is demonstrating its commitment to providing the highest quality of service possible. Membership in this section of the Division for Firms (a voluntary self-regulating organization) requires that the firm participate in the peer review program. Sitrick & Associates has completed an independent peer review of its auditing and accounting practice which concluded that the firm complies with the stringent quality control standards established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In evaluating the firm's quality control standards, the peer reviewer considered that the firm hires only qualified people, that it properly supervises them, that it provides them with continuing professional education related to the profession, and that it provides the technical resources necessary.

The partners and staff of Sitrick & Associates are committed to assisting their clients in meeting the challenges and opportunities provided by the economic environment of the new millennium.
